Dr. Bernhard Weber of Diapharm will be discussing the present "Challenges and opportunities related to the New Medical Device Regulation" (MDR) at the 29th EWMA Conference. Together with Edwin den Braber and Marcia Nusgart he will host a workshop and a subsequent Q&A session on the topic. The four-day event in Gothenburg is the most important conference on Wound Management in Europe with a broad spectrum of speakers ranging from health care professionals to medical and regulatory experts.

The MDR workshop on Thursday, 6 June, sets out to explore the possibilities for a joint dialogue of industry and health care professionals with the regulatory authorities concerning the MDR-related challenges. The regulatory experts will be speaking about the ongoing transition from previous directives to MDR and discuss the related challenges and opportunities. The regulation is likely to prompt far-reaching consequences in terms of optimal patient care.
